In case you missed it, Arrow and upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Casey Jones Stephen Amell jumped into a WWE ring, found himself in a tag team match at SummerSlam, killed it and may be coming back for more. It didn’t make Stone Cold Steve Austin happy, but his efforts (and the efforts of his supervillain rival, Stardust) will be making people happy for years to come.
Amell and Stardust used the match and feud to raise money for charity, and recently delivered a check to Emily’s House in Toronto for a check worth almost $300,000. It was such a great moment for the actor that he even broke character to talk about it. Check it out, via Facebook:
Sometimes you need to put your differences aside for a good cause. So today… Stardust and I presented Emily’s House in Toronto with a check for $297,557 and helped open the Dream Space Playroom in memory of Oliver “Odd Sock Ollie” Muirhead. Can’t really put into words what a special morning this was. The people who work and volunteer and Emily’s House are actual real life superheroes. The Muirhead family should know that their Son left a wonderful impression. And forgive the break in character for a moment, but Cody Rhodes is one of the most selfless, genuine human beings I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. What a day. SA
