Stone Cold Steve Austin Hurt Himself Trying To Moonwalk In The Shower. What?

On the June 18 edition of The Steve Austin Show, wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin shared a story that rivals that Michael Jackson moonwalking on a cloud thing for worst Michael Jackson story of the month. According to what he calls a “shoot,” Austin reportedly slipped in the shower trying to moonwalk and had to call 911. If this is a story you’d never want to tell another living human being, gimme a hell yeah.

According to Stone Cold, he was in his bathroom in his trailer listening to Michael Jackson on Pandora radio, getting set to film the next season of Broken Skull Ranch. Because sometimes Michael Jackson’s music compels you to do that thing where you spin in place and kick your leg and moonwalk, Austin decided to go for it. A moonwalk in the tub from a guy coordinated enough to ride a desk chair down a WWE ramp without falling. What could go wrong?

“It was probably two, two and a half moonwalk steps from corner to corner, but I’m not a great moonwalker.”

Austin admits that the details of the fall might be a rib, but he says he slipped, tangled his legs and pinned his shoulder underneath him, wedging himself in the shower. He couldn’t move, so he had to use his phone to call his wife, and then the fire department to help shoehorn himself out. There’s also a bit about how a bath scrubber got stuck in a “sensitive area” and had to be removed, but it’s pretty clear by this point that the dude just fell down in the shower and hurt himself, and had to make it sound as ridiculous as possible so we wouldn’t think of him as a helpless 50-year-old. Maybe instead of facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, Austin should first try to defeat Billie Jean.
