Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is balls-deep in his promotional tour for Fate of the Furious, which is the only possible explanation for waking up to a video involving Jimmy Fallon, The Blue Man Group, Minions, and WWE’s Big Show all in one place. Either that or it’s all some kind of horrible, exhaustion-induced fever dream and I’m dying.
Fallon has been broadcasting from Orlando all week to promote the launch of his new Tonight Show ride at Universal Studios. He’s lip-synced with Shaq and Pitbull, mascot-bombed theme park patrons, and Wednesday night he took it all one step further and blue himself.
Competing against The Rock in anything is already a bad idea, but when it comes to the Tonight Show game ‘Phone Booth,’ it’s a really bad idea. The premise is that two people are trapped in separate phone booths, and have to answer trivia questions. If they answer correctly, the opposing player’s phone booth gets filled with stuff.
In this case, The Rock got a little help from a tiny child genius and a not-so-tiny former WWE coworker. If being trapped in a phone booth with Show while people on the internet are rushing to put Brazzers logos over every screenshot wasn’t bad enough, they were then joined by three members of the Blue Man Group, the mayor of Orlando, and two oversized Minions.
