You can count me in as one of the WWE fans who was happy to see the Prime Time Players get back together. As a tag team, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil have always had something of a Statler and Waldorf quality to them. Even when they’re not in the ring, they’re more than happy to just riff on their competition, and the results are usually hilarious. It’s also heartening to see that both of them seem to be great guys outside of the ring, and that’s what’s taking center stage in a recent social media campaign. O’Neil is one of six nominees for the Everything For Dads “Celebrity Dad of the Year” award, and Vince McMahon recently tweeted his support.

O’Neil is up against actors Stephen Amell, Ashton Kutcher, and Vin Diesel, as well as soccer stars David Beckham and Kaká. Those are all big names, but we’ve definitely got evidence of O’Neil’s commitment to fatherhood. Remember his appearance in WWE’s “Take Time to Be a Dad Today” campaign last year?

We here at With Spandex aren’t really in the business of endorsing candidates, except when RSPW season rolls around, but Titus sure seems like a guy with his heart in the right place, so here’s the voting link if you’re so inclined. At the very least, just remember that a vote for him is also a vote for Rufus “Pancake” Patterson. He flattens fools, if you don’t recall. That’s what he do.
