If you’re a regular reader of the Over/Under On Lucha Underground column you’ll recognize two of our favorites in this clip: Sexy Star, a luchadora smashing gender stereotypes and fighting to empower women around the world, and El Mariachi Loco, a MARIACHI WHO IS CRAZY.
El Mariachi Loco’s probably my favorite wrestling character right now. If you aren’t up on your Temple lore, LU proprietor Dario Cueto found him “up the street” at his favorite Mexican restaurant. If he wins, he might — might — sing a song for the crowd. “He not only plays a mean trumpet, he’s also crazy!” Dude’s got music notes and horns on his face and dances between punches. He’s probably never, ever winning. God, I love him.
If that’s not enough to make you watch the show, this week’s main-event is a last man standing match between a reincarnated dragon and a legendary hunter whose entrance gear is a dead deer’s body.
THE EPIC FUED BETWEEN DRAGO AND KING CUERNO WILL BE FOUGHT OUT IN THE RING UNTIL ONLY ONE LUCHADORE IS STANDING IN THE ALL-NEW EPISODE OF ‘LUCHA UNDERGROUND’ PREMIEREING WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21st at 8:00PM ET/PT
No pinfalls, disqualifications, submissions or count-outs will end the highly anticipated face-off between Drago and King Cuerno in this week’s episode of “Lucha Underground” airing Wednesday, January 21st at 8:00PM ET/PT on El Rey Network. The two opponents will battle until one can no longer answer the 10 count, leaving only one “Last Luchador Standing.”
YEP. For more info on how you can watch one of the best wrestling shows on TV, go to El Rey Network and type in your info. I’ll be here tomorrow with a new Over/Under on Lucha Underground, and yes, it will involve a lot of guitarrón.
