The folks at El Rey Network have been nice enough to send me exclusive clips from the past few episodes of Lucha Underground, and while this one isn’t necessarily a clip, it’s my favorite. It reimagines the promotion as a Sega Genesis game — old school system preferences notwithstanding — and my only complaint is that it doesn’t keep going and become an actual game you can play.
Okay, two complaints. El Mariachi Loco isn’t a selectable character.
Regardless, it’s now my personal and professional duty to talk up this show until a real Lucha Underground video game exists. Maybe Dario Cueto can donate one of those $100,000 briefcases to a Kickstarter?
