Mickie James Has Reportedly Signed A New Contract With WWE

After her very strong showing at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, fans have been hoping that 37-year-old Mickie James might soon be making a full-time comeback to WWE, where she first became a star. Word got around very recently that she had been offered a main roster contract, and now we’re back with more good news.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider is reporting that James has indeed accepted that offer and will begin back with the company next month. Johnson says that this is the “standard full-time” contract for the main roster, with the belief that she will join the Smackdown brand in January 2017. In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer further reported that when she was first offered the contract, it was indeed for a main roster spot on Smackdown, although “those things change all the time.”

So there you have it: Mickie James will be back on Smackdown and back in our lives on a full-time basis once again very soon. (You know, because we’ve all been missing her since she left TNA.) I’m very much looking forward to Natalya giving her the stink-eye and grousing about her spot being taken on Total Divas. And start getting pumped about Mickie vs. Becky Lynch, Mickie vs. Alexa Bliss, and Mickie vs. Nikki Bella. DREAM MATCHES EVERYWHERE.
