Tonight, on the Survivor Series fallout edition of the With Spandex WWE Raw open discussion thread:
Survivor Series had too many surprises to count, including the unbelievable conclusion of Goldberg and Brock Lesnar’s Mega Match. However, as WWE’s fall classic moves to the rear view, how will the winners and losers of the big night — including Goldberg — address the path ahead? WWE.com has a few ideas. (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar in a cold-ass 90 seconds at Survivor Series. Now he’s in the house for Raw (although Lesnar is not). How much will he sweat? How many Affliction shirts will he wear? How many times will he make his young child remove his shirt on live television? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
2. How will Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley respond to their men’s team losing the big match with no consequences or stakes attached? My best guess: they’ll all be forced to turn in their Subway rewards cards and will have to start the cycle of B.M.T.s all over again. The ultimate insult.
3. Sheamus and Cesaro got along well enough to be the sole survivors of the Survivor Series tag team elimination match, and they have earned a shot at the tag team titles on Raw. Tune in tonight when they don’t get along at all, again. And lose to the New Day. Again.
4. Bayley and Charlotte, likewise, were the sole survivors from the women’s match. Tune in tonight when they don’t get along and never have, except for those time when they were best friends. Hope for inflatable tube men, but brace for Dana vs. Bayley, part the millionth.
5. The cruiserweights are still on Raw! Yay? Maybe Gran Metallik will return tonight, or maybe Super Calo will show up to dive directly onto the top of his head onto the concrete as an offensive maneuver. Just kidding, hope you like a six-man match with Tony Nese and TJ Perkins doing chinlocks at people.
Hey, so +1 your favorite comments from tonight’s open discussion thread and we’ll include 10 of the best in tomorrow’s Best and Worst of Raw report. Enjoy the show!
