WWE Raw Results 2/29/16

Here are your quick and dirty, editorial-free Raw results for the leap year edition of Raw, February 29, 2016. The show was headlined by Dean Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio, as well as an appearance from The Undertaker.

WWE Raw Results:

– The show opened with Dean Ambrose confronting Triple H about being scared to face him, saying that Roman Reigns is “coming for” him. Ambrose challenged Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H said he’d give Ambrose an answer by the end of the night, and made Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio.

1. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch was a draw. Banks hit Lynch with a sunset flip powerbomb off the ropes and both women were knocked unconscious, leading to a double-pin. They’ll have a rematch on Smackdown.

2. The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler. Miz won a very quick match with a rollup.

– Stephanie McMahon tried to giver her acceptance speech for the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy Award and cut a promo on her brother, saying that eventually everyone bows to The Authority.

3. Sheamus and Rusev defeated the Lucha Dragons. Rusev pinned Kalisto after a kick to the face. After the match, the League of Nations beat up Kalisto and Del Rio hit him with a tree of woe double-stomp.

– Natalya spoke candidly about enjoying Subwayâ„¢ brand sandwiches.

4. Ryback defeated Adam Rose. Ryback brutalized Rose and pinned him with Shell Shocked.

5. Chris Jericho and AJ Styles defeated The New Day. Jericho made Kofi Kingston tap out to the Walls of Jericho. After the match, Y2AJ challenged New Day to a Tag Team Championship match next week on Raw.

– Vince McMahon cut a promo claiming the Undertaker as his “force of destruction” at WrestleMania. Undertaker appeared and said that Shane’s blood at WrestleMania would be on Vince’s hands, not his.

6. Bubba Ray Dudley defeated Jey Uso. Dudley won with a Bubba Bomb after D-Von Dudley attacked Jimmy Uso with a table at ringside.

7. The Big Show defeated Kevin Owens. Show won by count-out after crotching Owens on the top rope.

8. Naomi defeated Brie Bella. Before and after the match, Lana confronted Brie Bella to call her a loser.

9. Dean Ambrose defeated Alberto Del Rio by disqualification. Triple H interrupted the match, ordering the League of Nations to attack Ambrose. Ambrose briefly fought back, but H put him down with a pedigree. He agreed to a championship match, causing an almost unconscious Ambrose to get on the mic and say “thanks.” That popped the crowd a little too much, so Triple H rolled up his sleeves and beat the crap out of Ambrose for the remainder of the show.
