Remember that time WWE raised a banner in Madison Square Gardens to honor Hulk Hogan and said it would be there forever? I hope so because it was less than a week ago:
It seems that, much like all those Taylor Swift ex-lovers, WWE didn’t mean forever in the literal sense. WWE took all of two seconds to address the sudden blank space to Business Insider in the following detailed statement:
“The banner was a part of our show and was never intended to stay at MSG.”
Welcome to New York, I guess. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Hogan would be as over as he was in the ’80s, but the reception he got at the MSG show makes the whole situation sad. Hopefully this doesn’t leave Hogan with any bad blood. WWE does shady ‘worked’ stuff like this all the time. You just gotta shake it off, brother.
