Tonight, on the With Spandex WWE Smackdown Live open discussion thread for December 6, 2016:

In the wake of his betrayal at WWE TLC, James Ellsworth is looking to go 4-0 against “The Champ That Runs the Camp” and capture the WWE World Title tonight at 8/7 C on SmackDown LIVE! — via WWE.com

Our five-point preview:

1. Tonight is the night that folk hero and SUPREME TRAITOR James Ellsworth gets his WWE World Championship shot against AJ Styles. The question is not “will Dean Ambrose cost him the title,” but how severely will Dean destroy him while doing so?

2. Heath Slater and Rhyno will receive their guaranteed rematch for their recently lost Smackdown Tag Team Championship, as they take on the new and drastically improved Wyatt Family. They will likely get thoroughly trounced, but we’re just hoping Randy Orton stays a full-fledged member of the Wyatts for as long as possible.

3. Natalya was revealed as the dastardly backstage jumper who backstagedly jumped Nikki Bella at Survivor Series. So now there will be HOSS BELLA hell to pay. Pray for Natalya.

4. The Miz retained his title in glorious fashion at TLC, so hopefully we’ll find out the new challenger to the Intercontinental Championship tonight. (Just kidding; it’s Dolph Ziggler. It always has been Dolph Ziggler and it always will be Dolph Ziggler.)

5. “Pop culture sensation” Sophia Grace will be a special guest on Smackdown Live tonight, so that everyone can feel old and out of touch. Next week: VINE STAR SIX-PACK CHALLENGE.

Also happening tonight is the hot new show dedicated entirely to cruiserweights, 205 Live:

After winning his first Cruiserweight Championship last Tuesday on the first episode of WWE 205 Live, Rich Swann will look to close the door on The Brian Kendrick by successfully defending the title in a rematch. – Via WWE.com
