WWE Smackdown Live Results:
— Kevin Owens opened Smackdown by hosting the Kevin Owens Show with special guests Randy Orton and AJ Styles. Styles and Orton went at each other verbally before things got physical. Styles tried to hit the Phenomenal Forearm and Orton caught him for the RKO.
1. Aleister Black, Ricochet and The Usos defeated The Bar, Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev. Jey Usos earned the pinfall after connecting on a super kick alongside Jimmy Uso on Rusev. After the match, Alexa Bliss announced the Usos will defend the Smackdown Tag Team titles in a Fatal 4-Way tag team championship match against Black and Ricochet, Nakamura and Rusev and the Bar.
— The IIconics talked up their Fatal 4-Way women’s tag team title match at WrestleMania.
— The Miz cut a heated promo about being a proud father. Miz said he’s fighting with a full heart and that’s why he wanted a falls count anywhere match at ‘Mania.
2. 3-on-1 handicap match: The Miz defeated SAnitY. Shane McMahon announced halfway through the match that it was a falls count anywhere bout. Miz pinned Eric Young after smashing his head with a bin near the production truck.
— After the match, Becky Lynch showed up in a police car. She got on the mic and talked about how she worked her way into the main event scene over the last year.
3. 18-person mixed tag team match: EC3, Gallows and Anderson, Andrade, Zelina Vega, Shelton Benjamin, Lana, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville vs. Matt and Jeff Hardy, Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross, Asuka, Naomi, Carmella, R-Truth ended in a disqualification. Everyone brawled ahead of the men’s and women’s battle royals at WrestleMania.
4. Samoa Joe defeated Ali. Joe choked out Ali with the Coquina Clutch.
— Daniel Bryan talked down Kofi Kingston being a bystander in his life, allowing New Day to push him to the top. Bryan said the way fans chanted “Yes” for him, they chant “Kofi” for him. Bryan then called fans parasites. Bryan said this is the best it’s ever going to be for Kofi. Kofi got on the mic and said Bryan sees he’s ready. Kofi said Bryan is scared because he knows what comes next, and that’s Kofi becoming WWE champion.
