WWE Smackdown Live Results:

Shane McMahon opened Smackdown with a video message announcing he won’t be part of the show, blaming Kevin Owens for his absence.

— Kevin Owens came to the ring and mocked McMahon not being in the building. Owens said McMahon doesn’t belong in the ring with people like him. Drew McIntyre interrupted Owens and told him they have a match before attacking him.

1. Kevin Owens defeated Drew McIntyre. Owens dropped McIntyre with the stunner.

— Backstage, Bayley talked up tagging with Ember Moon, but warned her not to even think about hitting her with the Eclipse.

2. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defeated Bayley and Ember Moon. Bliss pinned Moon after hitting her with Twisted Bliss. After the match, Bayley Bayley-to-Belly’d Moon and held the title over her.

— Sami Zayn announced backstage that he’s going to end the hype of Aleister Black at SummerSlam.

— Daniel Bryan teased an announcement before walking off camera.

— Trish Stratus appeared on King’s Court with Jerry Lawler. Lawler asked if she ever has the itch to get back in the ring. Stratus said she does, but she’s a mom now. Charlotte Flair interrupted King’s Court and talked down Stratus and challenged her to a match at SummerSlam. Stratus accepted and starred down Flair.

3. Dolph Ziggler defeated Finn Bálor. Ziggler pinned Bálor after a distraction from “The Fiend” allowed him to hit a super kick.

4. Ali defeated Shinsuke Nakamura. Ali rolled up Nakamura after he missed the Kinshasa.

— Randy Orton talked about his history with Kofi Kingston and said there was no KofiMania without him taking out Ali.

5. Kofi Kingston defeated AJ Styles. Kingston hit Trouble in Paradise as Styles was attempting the Phenomenal Forearm.

— Roman Reigns was walking to make his challenge at SummerSlam when a structure nearly fell on him backstage.
