— The Miz opened Smackdown Live with MizTV, where he welcomed Drew McIntyre, Elias and Shane McMahon. They recapped McMahon beating Roman Reigns at Super ShowDown before Miz brought up how he was betrayed by his former tag team partner. McMahon said Miz can get a shot at “The Best in the World” if he can beat Elias, then McIntyre.
1. The Miz defeated Elias. Miz pinned Elias after hitting the Skull Crushing Finale.
2. Drew McIntyre defeated The Miz. McIntyre pinned Miz after dropping him with the Claymore.
3. Shane McMahon defeated The Miz. Miz tapped out to McMahon’s triangle choke.
4. Heavy Machinery defeated The Yolo County Tag Team Champions AJ Kirsh and Dave Dutra. Heavy Machinery interrupted the Planet’s Tag Team Champions to challenge and pin the champs.
— R-Truth said the 24/7 title is ruining his life, so Carmella locked him in a box. Jinder Mahal tried to help him out, but couldn’t get it open.
5. Sonya Deville defeated Carmella. Deville pinned Carmella after hitting her with the step-up knee strike.
— Alexa Bliss talked to Nikki Cross backstage and told her that Bayley was calling her hateful things, so when they matched up in the ring to take all her frustrations out on the Smackdown Women’s champ.
— New Day came out with Big E and cut a promo on Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler. Their opponents came to the stage to hype up Ziggler’s steel cage match against Kofi Kingston as Stomping Grounds.
— Aleister Black cut a promo asking anyone to challenge him to a fight.
6. Bayley defeated Nikki Cross. Bayley pinned Nikki Cross after landing the flying elbow drop.
7. The New Day defeated Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler. Kofi Kingston pinned Sami Zayn after connecting with Trouble in Paradise.
