We’re all expected to make resolutions in the new year, ways in which we’ll try to better our lives or the lives of those around us. Maybe they’re about food! Maybe they’re about losing weight! Maybe they’re about being nicer to running backs who are a little thick around the waist! They can be anything you want them to be.
The sad thing is most of those resolutions usually get tossed by March, when we all revert back to the habits and vices we said we wanted to change. But not for Eddie Lacy! After vowing this offseason to shed pounds and get back to his 2014 playing weight, Lacy took up P90X, the fitness regimen that every dude you know started and quit within three weeks. And if recent pictures are any indication, it’s working really well!

Lacy went far beyond the normal P90X route, getting the personal input of P90X creator Tony Horton to create a program just for him. While we all can’t have that kind of personalized attention, most of our careers also don’t depend on being a certain size and speed. If this is what it takes for Eddie to stay focused and away from all that “China food,” good for him.
I'm bout to go get some china food :)

We’ll miss you, Fat Eddie Lacy, especially when we’re wrist deep in wings watching Sunday Night Football this fall. But keep up the good work, we can’t wait to see the wheels you’ll have next season when you’re not running with a spare tire.
