Well, it looks like our hopes and dreams of Amy Schumer becoming the next Bachelorette are now officially crushed. On the plus side, it looks like our favorite funny lady has finally found love. Schumer, who previously said she didn’t have time for a boyfriend, much less sex, has gone public with her relationship with Ben Hanisch, a hunky furniture designer from Chicago. It’s unknown how she met Hanisch, who is known for founding a Chicago furniture company called The Last Workshop.
Hanisch quietly posted the above photo of himself and his lady to Instagram back on New Year’s Day, but it was only after Schumer tweeted a photo of herself, her sister, brother-in-law, and Hanisch on Tuesday captioned “fam and man at the whitehizzy,” that the rest of the world caught on.

Schumer, who was at the White House to watch President Obama’s speech on gun violence, later “confirmed” the relationship with another tweet:

All jokes aside, taking a relationship to social media is a huge step in these quaint, modern times we live in, so you have to assume that it must be pretty serious by now. Mazel tov to the happy couple!
