President Donald Trump finally unified (or more likely, distracted) a confused nation on Wednesday morning, when he tweeted, “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.” That’s it. There was no extra information or punchline, just a familiar refrain about the media being unfair and a random typo that has since taken over the internet (it also drove Merriam-Webster insane). What made “covfefe” extra curious is that Trump didn’t delete the tweet until six hours after it was initially posted. He then joked about the confusion, sounding a bit like an uncle who just learned what “dat boi” means.
Who can figure out the true meaning of "covfefe" ??? Enjoy!

When you search for “covfefe” on Merriam-Webster’s overworked website, the dictionary suggests “coffee,” “coven,” “cover,” “covet,” “covey,” and “cuvee.” But none of those sound right (“Despite the constant negative press, Coven is the best season of American Horror Story“?). It’s more likely Trump was trying to type “coverage,” as in, “Despite the constant negative press coverage, my inauguration was still the highest attended in the history of the country. True!” Or, “Despite the constant negative press coverage, I’d like to order a well-done steak with ketchup. Delicious!” (He thought he was at a drive-thru.)
Maybe Trump was trying to type "coverage" and then was like Fuck Everyone, Fuck Everyone, like his healthcare act essentially did. #covfefe

Given the hour and age of Trump, possible he was trying to say coverage when he typed "covfefe"? Did he start, then stop, then butt sent?

I think Trump was trying to write, "despite the negative press coverage…" accidentally hit sent after mucking up & got distracted.

So Trump screwed up "coverage" and then deleted it?
Isn't that his health care plan?

covfefe = coverage
As in: under Donald Trump 24 million people Americans will soon lose their insurance covfefe.— Earthling (@ziyatong) May 31, 2017

Covfefe- When you want to say coverage but your hands are too small to hit all the letters on your keyboard #confefe #trump #urbandictionary

In somewhat related news, the Trump administration is trying to roll back coverage (not “covfefe”) on a “federal rule that requires most employers to cover birth control in their health insurance plans at no cost to women.”
Trump has even taken the fun out of typos.
