Today Let’s Remember Robin Williams On WWE Tribute To The Troops 2011

The death of comedian Robin Williams is all anyone’s going to talk about today, and with good reason; the man was an icon in almost every aspect of popular culture. Film, animation, television, music, video games … we have a favorite Williams memory from all of them, even if it’s just “naming his daughter Zelda” or “showing up in a Bobby McFerrin video.” We’re also remembering a lot of the work he did outside of pop culture today, including his thorough, incredible work with our troops.

As the pro wrestling leg of the UPROXX effort, we don’t have a lot of Robin memories to share, but we do have one: his pre-taped message from WWE’s Tribute To The Troops special in 2011. He manages to send sincere well-wishes and go in and out of a classic WWF promo at the same time. The guy couldn’t say a sentence without being entertaining.

Rest in peace, Mr. Williams. Every single person you were talking to here is going to miss you.
