WWE May Be Planning A Brock Lesnar Face Turn Now That He’s Re-Signed With The Company

BORK MAKE SMILEZ. BORK GOOD GUY NOW.

As you may have heard, Brock Lesnar has officially hung up his UFC sparring gloves and re-signed with WWE. The word is that it’s a three-year deal and much like his current deal. He’ll only work limited dates. Here’s what Brock told ESPN about his decision to give up MMA…

“I talked with Dana White, I talked to Lorenzo Fertitta, I talked to Vince McMahon, I talked to my wife and my friends. I had many sleepless nights on what to do. At the end of the day, it weighed heavily on my heart that I was born to be an entertainer, and I have fun doing it. I could go back to the octagon, but what do I have to gain? I was the UFC heavyweight champion of the world. Due to my illness my career got cut short, but as the years went by, it wore on me so much that the fighter inside of me didn’t want it to end that way. I didn’t want to leave the UFC on a losing streak. That’s the competitive guy inside me.”

Sounds like he’s not entirely over UFC, so why exactly did he go with WWE?

“This wasn’t an overnight decision. This was a long heartfelt decision that you weigh out the pros, you weigh out the cons. Last night, ole’ Vince McMahon put the offer on the table that I couldn’t refuse. When it comes down to business and money, and health and well-being, I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. I’ve been in a bad position with my health, I’ve been in a bad position with my money, and now I’m in a great position with both and I’m happy. I love what I’m doing. I work a limited schedule; part-time with full-time pay.

If you can’t watch me in the ring and not be entertained, and not think that I’m having any fun than there’s something definitely wrong. I love being in the squared circle, I always have.”

So, pro wrestling fans get more Brock Lensar. Yay! But we may be in for more than that. There’s speculation that Brock re-signing may open the doors to new storylines and directions WWE couldn’t go forward with until they knew Brock was locked down.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE has been kicking around the idea of a major Brock Lesnar face turn for some time now, and now that he’s committed to the company, it may happen as soon as this WrestleMania. Yes, WWE may actually go with the flow, accept the inevitable Roman Reigns boos and do a double-turn at this year’s big show. Even if it doesn’t happen at Mania, it’s going to happen eventually, as Brock isn’t the kind of guy who can wrestle the same person countless times like John Cena. In order to keep his feuds fresh and special, he’ll need to change sides and start wrestling heels sooner rather than later.

What do you folks think? What would you do with Brock Lesnar if you knew you had another three years to work with him?
