Ronda Rousey Is A ‘One And Done’ In WWE, According To Dana White

Ever since Ronda Rousey showed up at WrestleMania 31 to throw Triple H around like a child and nearly tear off Stephanie McMahon’s arm, we’ve had to wade through a series of “will she or won’t she?” stories about next year’s WrestleMania. Rumors, Twitter hints and words from Rousey’s manager matter less than the opinion of UFC President Dana White, seeing as he’s the guy with final say over whether Rousey gets to wrestle for WWE.

Well, the Fight Network recently asked him about whether Rousey will be doing future business with WWE, and he didn’t give the answer you’re probably hoping for:

“What she did on WrestleMania was awesome, it was awesome. It came off great. I loved it. She’s a one and done.”

When straight-up asked whether there are any pro wrestling matches in Ronda Rousey’s future, Dana had an equally straight-up answer: “Nope.”

So, how is WWE responding to this news? They must have already known, right? To quote Dana White, “Nope.” According to F4WOnline, WWE’s creative team was said to be shocked about Dana’s pronouncement.

This isn’t necessarily the end of the story. WWE still has almost a year to make this happen, and they have the money to make some very convincing arguments. Also, Dana shot down the match, but some sort of valet/manager situation could still happen. Or maybe it won’t. WWE has set their sights on the most popular girl in the lunchroom, and (usually) when you do that, you get shot down.
