Bray Wyatt Is The Latest Victim Of WWE’s Injury Curse

By now, if you’ve lost count of how many members of the WWE roster are currently injured, we’d hardly say we blame you. There’s still a Cesaro-shaped hole in our hearts right now, that’s all that’s certain. Coming fresh off the news of Neville’s ankle injury, it looks like there’s now another star who’s going to need some time away from the ring for rehabilitation. Via the WON, it looks like Bray Wyatt is now on the shelf with a back injury of undisclosed severity.

With the benefit of hindsight, this does a lot to explain why Wyatt’s match with Brock Lesnar at Roadblock was suddenly a handicap match. If you’ll remember, he hardly got involved at all and let Luke Harper do most of the grunt work. I’m all for Chikara alumni going up against Brock Lesnar, but I just wish it had happened under better circumstances.

If we’re going to speculate here, it’s entirely possible that Wyatt got hurt during his no-disqualification match with Dean Ambrose on March 7. At this point, it’s unknown how long Bray will need to rehabilitate. Not the kind of thing you want to be uncertain about just three weeks removed from WrestleMania, right? In any event, this whole injury trend has almost become a morbid joke. Out of respect, please refrain from creating any office dead pools betting on who’s next to tear an ACL. In the meantime, I like Danielle’s idea about encasing everyone in bubble wrap. We can decorate the bubble wrap and pretend it’s Kaiju Big Battel, right?
