Cory Redding Did A Perfect Ric Flair Strut After Scoring A Touchdown

To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man. Therefore, if you recover an Aaron Rodgers fumble and run it in for a touchdown, you dance like “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

That’s what happened during the Arizona Cardinals’ 38-8 trouncing of the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Nine sacks they finished with. Nine. Kareem Martin nailed Rodgers in the middle of the fourth quarter and forced a fumble, so 318-pound defensive tackle Cory Redding scooped it up, stiff-armed Eddie Lacy into oblivion and jogged into the end zone. From there, he did what any good man would: he danced, and he did it alllll night long.

There aren’t many celebration dances better than the Ric Flair strut, especially when you add the “woo” gesture on the end. The dance actually finds its pro wrestling origins in “The Fabulous” Jackie Fargo, who competed in the NWA in the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. You can see Jackie do his thing here. The strut is all the Nature Boy’s now, though, because honestly, who else could rip off their pants in the middle of a wrestling ring and dance around them like a weirdo and seem like the coolest guy ever?

(We appreciate you keeping your pants on, Cory.)
