Hulk Hogan Says He Wants To Join The Bullet Club

If you’ve been following along with our ongoing Best and Worst of WCW Nitro (and shame on you if you haven’t been), you know all the ins and outs of the heyday of the nWo. Black and white shirts, “Too Sweet” hand gestures, inviting people to bite and/or suck things … all foolproof faction attributes cribbed by New Japan’s ultra-popular Bullet Club.

The Bullet Club (and in particular as of late, The Elite of the Bullet Club consisting of the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega) are pretty much the epitome of cool right now. Or at the very least, their gestures (the nWo’s and D-Generation X’s gestures) and iconography are ubiquitous wherever you’ll find pro wrestling fans.

And if there’s something popular, you can bet Hulk Hogan wants to be a part of it.

At a recent autograph signing in the City of Industry in California (yes, a real city with the city name “City of Industry”) wrestling fan and documentarian James Franck asked Hogan whether he’d ever join the Bullet Club, and the answer was a resounding “SIGN ME UP BROTHER.”

The really fantastic thing about this video, to me, is how much Hogan’s face lights up when he hears the question. That’s genuine joy there. So let’s all get down to business and start fantasizing about Hogan showing up at the Tokyo Dome to bodyslam Kazuchika Okada or something. That would truly be … too sweet.
