We’re less than two weeks away from the return of the best wrestling show on television — and one of the best shows on TV, period — Lucha Underground. In the first trailer for season two, we got a glimpse of Dario Cueto (thank God), our first look at Rey Mysterio in The Temple and an army of Pentagons Jr. The latest clip features some new footage, including quick looks at new female characters and what appears to be a desert roadside motel motorcycle nunchuck fight. Maybe those words don’t all go together, but maybe they do. Thirteen days. We can make it 13 days.
I’m also excited to debut the first two in a series of 20 (!!) character cards that’ll be released between now and the Jan. 27 premiere. They’re designed by Kurt Volk and ERN Creative, and they’re amazing. Assuming there’s no El Mariachi Loco card, El Rey did me a favor by sending over the Pentagon card. I want that on a blacklight poster. I’m willing to go back to college just to have that hanging in my dorm room.
