Indie Wrestling Superstar Ricochet Would ‘Love To’ Work For WWE Someday

Ricochet is a well-known name to anyone who follows independent wrestling, or to anyone who follows Lucha Underground. Heck, at this point, I’d say Ricochet is well-known to a lot of casual fans as well. His match against Will Ospreay did go super-viral a short time back, after all, but the guy has been tearing it up all over the world and earning rave reviews everywhere he goes for a while now.

As a result, the “Ricochet to WWE” rumors are constantly swirling. Word is that WWE has been trying to get him for a couple years now, but he’s been tied up with his Lucha Underground contract. And the guy is Apollo Crews’ roommate, so an eventual move to WWE seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.

Ricochet was on the most recent episode of Jim Ross’ podcast and talked about his desire to head to WWE at some point in the future.

“Of course, I mean, I would love to. Even all the people that I know that have been there, they always tell me, ‘you’ve got to at least experience it once’. But they tell me ‘you’ve got to go there and experience it at least once – whether you like it or not, it’s up to you, but you’ve got to go there and you’ve got to experience it once’. And, of course, I would love to go there one day. So hopefully, all my ducks get in line and get in order and I can make it happen, but, I mean, of course, I would love to, but right now, I’m still just kind of doing my thing, doing the New Japan thing, I still [have] got the Lucha [Underground] going on right now. But, of course, one day, I’d really, really, really enjoy to be there one day.”

He went on to say that he opted not to re-sign with Lucha Underground, so that should tell you all you need to know.

“I think I’ve already made my mind up, like, which one I want to do. Definitely between now and 2017 some decisions are going to have to be made and stuff’s going to have to happen, so I’m just hoping for the best.”

Basically, once season three of Lucha Underground finishes airing on television in 2017, look for Ricochet to officially sign with WWE. We all know it’s going to happen. Just prepare for it now. Start fantasy booking your dream WWE feuds for Ricochet before he gets put in a tag team with Neville.
