WWE And Jim Ross May Be Re-Teaming For A New WWE Network Show And More

WWE and Jim Ross have been separated for a while, but I think we all knew this twisted relationship wasn’t truly done for. WWE and Ross parted ways in late 2013 after Ross let a WWE 2k14 press event (and, in particular, a drunk Ric Flair) get out of hand. Since then, Ross has been keeping busy; he was the lead English announcer for Global Force Wrestling’s well-received presentation of New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 9, and he was in negotiations to do commentary for Lucha Underground (although that never came to pass).

Well, it looks like WWE and Ross may be picking things up again. In his latest latest blog, J.R. announced that he’s in negotiations to bring his Ringside: An Evening With Jim Ross show to the WWE Network. Ringside is a live one-man show that Ross has been touring the country with. Basically, Ross shares stories from his illustrious career, does audience Q&A and even peppers in some surprisingly salty language. Sounds like a fine night out to me. Here’s a video that should give you an idea of what the shows are all about…

In the same blog, Ross also confirmed that he’s in negotiations to do commentary for WWE 2K16. Ross’ voice was one of the few high points of WWE 2K15, so thank goodness he’s back.

It’s nice to see WWE and Jim Ross getting along again. Now, if WWE wants even more “Salty Jim Ross Tells Stories” footage on the Network, I suggest they add this video to the on-demand section…
