As if Mr. McMahon hadn’t stacked the deck against Roman Reigns already, forcing The Big Dog to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against 29 other Superstars in this year’s historic Royal Rumble Match, one of those challengers will be the returning Brock Lesnar.
As The Beast Incarnate and his vocal advocate, Paul Heyman, join Chris Jericho on “The Highlight Reel” Monday night, what’s going through Reigns’ mind?
Here’s our five-point preview:
1. The show should just open with a bloody Brock Lesnar standing in the middle of the ring screaming, surrounded by Chris Jericho’s body parts. He should spend the next six months drinking Jimmy John’s fountain drinks out of Cool Dad’s skull.
2. It’s the go-home Raw before the Royal Rumble, so there’s a 99% chance the episode ends with (or at least involves) lots of people in the ring trying to throw each other over the ropes. I gave it 99 instead of 100 on the off chance they’ve forgotten the Rumble is this Sunday.
3. “Iron” Mike Sharpe passed away, so I hope one the Social Outcasts wears a forearm guard in tribute.
4. Seriously, The Highlight Reel needs to end with Jericho getting the flatscreen smashed over his head.
5. Kalisto won the United States Championship on last week’s Raw, but lost it back to Alberto Del Rio on Smackdown. Maybe he’ll win it back tonight, and they’ll set up a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match between the two at Royal Rumble. Either that, or Kalisto will get beaten up by Sheamus and we’ll forget the whole thing ever happened.
