It’s doubtful whether hot dogs and hamburgers are in line with The Miz’s strict Hollywood diet. However, after Monday’s barbecue festivities draw to a close, he could be dining out on a victory over the WWE Champion. Live on Raw, the self-professed “A-Lister” battles Dean Ambrose in a Champion vs. Champion Match you won’t want to miss. (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. It’s the Fourth of July! WWE is expecting this to be one of the lowest-rated episodes of Raw in history, so don’t expect anything groundbreaking to happen. Sorry, people who hate fireworks. It might not be your night all around.
2. That said, there will be a United States Championship match between Rusev and Titus O’Neil, so don’t put it past our beloved WWE to put a title switch on the one show this year that absolutely no one is watching.
3. The running theme of “a GM from the past” shows up is still very much in play, so who will be the old face popping in tonight? (It’s Vickie Guerrero, most likely, which will probably totally rule. Dang it, this might be a good episode after all.)
4. Battleground is still a few weeks away, but we’ve got all these feuds going around and still space to set up a few more matches. Wrestling fans DEMAND another Lucha Dragons vs. Dudley Boyz pre-show match! Sorry to burst your bubble, but the biennial food fight already broke out before the show even started.
5. There’s a match between the world champion and the intercontinental champion tonight. Will The Miz be pinned clean? Only everyone in the entire world knows for sure!
