WWE Raw results:
– The show began with Stephanie McMahon deriding the Big Show for his part in last night’s WWE Battleground main event. She repeatedly slapped him, then fired him.
1. Dolph Ziggler defeated Damien Sandow. Ziggler pinned Sandow following a Fame-asser.
2. Natalya, Eva Marie and Jojo defeated Alicia Fox, Aksana and Rosa Mendes. Natalya won via submission with a Sharpshooter on Alicia Fox. Jojo never tagged in. At the risk of editorializing, Eva Marie probably shouldn’t have tagged in either.
3. Los Matadores defeated 3MB. This was the Mahal/McIntyre combination of 3MB. Los Matadores pinned Mahal with their double Samoan drop. After the match, El Torito beat up Heath Slater.
4. CM Punk and R-Truth defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel. Punk hit a Go To Sleep on Axel, and Truth followed it up with a corkscrew scissor kick to pick up the win.
5. Randy Orton defeated Kofi Kingston. Orton won with an RKO. After the match, Daniel Bryan attacked Orton.
– Shawn Michaels was named the special guest referee for the Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton championship match at Hell in a Cell per a WWE app fan vote.
6. Ricardo Rodriguez defeated Alberto Del Rio. Just as the match was beginning, Vickie Guerrero announced that Del Rio would be defending the World Heavyweight Championship at Hell in a Cell against a returning John Cena. Ricardo took advantage of the distraction and rolled ADR up for the victory. After the match, Del Rio assaulted Ricardo and put him in a steel chair-assisted cross-armbreaker.
7. Fandango defeated Zack Ryder. Fandango pinned Ryder after a top-rope leg drop.
8. The Real Americans defeated Santino Marella and The Great Khali. A repeat from last night. Cesaro won after a giant swing on Khali. After the match Cesaro gave Hornswoggle a giant swing, but was stopped by Santino.
– The Miz tried to host an episode of MizTV but was immediately interrupted by the Wyatt Family. He took the fight to Bray, but fled before Harper and Rowan could attack him. Bray taunted him as he ran away.
9. The Shield defeated Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Goldust. Bryan and the Rhodes brothers originally won the match by disqualification when Dean Ambrose used a chair, but Triple H restarted the match under no-DQ rules. Randy Orton appeared from the crowd and RKO’d Bryan, allowing Rollins to pin him and win the match. After the match Triple H ordered The Shield to attack, but The Big Show returned to make the save. He fought off all three members of The Shield and knocked out Triple H to end the show.
