Our five-point preview:
1. Payback is finally behind us, thank the sweet lord. Now we can move forward with life in the post-Superstar Shake-Up world, where Jinder Mahal is the No. 1 contender and has stolen the world title. That’s comforting, which is very strange.
2. Chris Jericho is your new United States Champion, but with an impending Fozzy tour, how long can that last? Maybe only as long as tonight, because Owens has his rematch for the title right away. Pray for the ring apron.
3. Naomi and Charlotte appear to have formed an uneasy alliance against the forces of dastardly women’s stable Natalya, Carmella, Tamina and James Ellsworth. Let’s see how well they’re able to fend off the Four Horsepersons.
4. Breezango is the No. 1 contender to the Smackdown Tag Team Championship! What a marvelous turn of events! Let’s hope they keep the momentum going with a four-star match against American Alpha. Or, you know, some funny backstage antics. Either way.
5. Jinder refuses to be hindered. Randy Orton appears ripe for the picking after losing his House of Horrors match, which we are all sort of agreeing to never talk about again. Perhaps tonight JINDER will do the hindering, just like he did on Sunday.
