Daniel Bryan has had about three active months of wrestling in the last two years. Everyone has been speculating over his future in wrestling, so every clue has led us to freak out and overanalyze. Well, this Instagram pic will only heighten our fears that the former American Dragon will never come back. It was posted by Bryan’s buddy Dr. Jimmy Yuan and shows a beardless Bryan, and everyone is worried.
While it’s not a definite indicator that Bryan won’t be wrestling any time soon, it’s definitely ominous. Daniel Bryan’s beard has been the trademark for his main event run, so it’s hard to imagine that he’d return without it. Granted, he could probably grow the beard back relatively quickly, but I can’t lie like this doesn’t make me feel like he’s moved on. Someone make me feel better.
I’m not the only person freaking out. The comments on the Instagram post are hilarious as wrestling fans are demanding to know if the pic was taken recently or if it’s a throwback. The fact there’s a location on the picture indicates that it was taken recently. Sadly.
In the meantime, I’m going to watch Bryan’s best beard moments and hum “Tell Me A Lie” to myself.
