Monday’s April 18 edition of WWE Raw brought in a 2.32 rating, down from the previous week’s 2.50, with 3.32 million viewers. While that’s considerably better than the numbers they were pulling in during last year’s historic slide, it became the lowest rated Raw of the year and broke the record for the least watched Raw on its regular night outside of football season.
Via the Observer, the taped UK Raw managed to be the second highest rated show on cable for the night, behind the Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets NBA playoffs late game (4.42 million viewers). Hour three saw a huge drop, which brought down the final numbers. Here’s the breakdown:
Hour one: 3.49 million
Hour two: 3.54 million
Hour three: 2.98 million
The previous lowest-rated episode of Raw of the year happened on February 1, when the show brought in 3.37 million viewers against the NCAA College Football Playoffs National Championship game.
Monday’s taped episode from the 02 Arena in London, England, featured Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens in the main event, as well as a part of 8-person tag team matches and Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho in the opener. You can read about it here. It’ll be interesting to see how the rating rebounds next week, with Raw returning to the States with a live episode from Hartford, Connecticut, and going up against a Clippers/Trail Blazers late game.
