WARNING: There is a major Stranger Things plot spoiler below.
As I previously reported, practically everyone is dressing up as a Stranger Things character this Halloween. So long as they know they're not being original, I am 100% okay with this!
If you've gotten this far, I'm assuming you've already watched Stranger Things Season 1 in its entirety, so you know that sweet, loyal, frilly-collared Barb is dead. Not just dead, but mutilated almost beyond recognition. And while we don't welcome her demise, if you're feeling extra ambitious, Dead Barb may be a great way to set yourself apart from all the other Barbs at your Halloween party this year. Not because no one else will have thought of this, but because it is such a damn hard costume to pull off.
Luckily, YouTube user Freakmo (a.k.a. Kiana Jones) is here to show you how to best accomplish this look using words like epoxy parfilm, tapioca starch, white silicone pigments and isopropyl alcohol. The sunny Aussie host is charming and cheerful as she takes us through the steps, but don't be fooled by her demeanor! Any average person will be tearing his or her hair out by the end of this process, which will not only seriously deplete your bank account (must be nice to have that YouTube money, Kiana!) but take up a good chunk of your valuable time as well.
Still, if you're willing to deal with that kind of rage in order to pull off the perfect Barb Halloween costume, I am 100% supportive of your ambition. Just keep your expectations in check, because there is no way you're going to look as good as Kiana's unfortunate red-headed friend does at the end of this process.
