WWE Money in the Bank 2019 Kickoff Show Results:
1. The Usos defeated Smackdown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan. The Usos won with a double top rope splash, the “Double Uce,” on Bryan.
WWE Money in the Bank 2019 Results:
– The show opened with a dedication graphic for the recently passed Ashley Massaro.
2. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Bayley defeated Natalya, Naomi, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, Carmella, Ember Moon, and Nikki Cross. Sonya Deville helped Mandy Rose get to the top of the ladder, but Bayley knocked them down and grabbed the briefcase to win the match.
3. United States Championship Match: Rey Mysterio defeated Samoa Joe (c). Mysterio won a quick match by countering a powerbomb attempt into a hurricanrana to become champion. After the match, a bloody Joe attacked Mysterio in front of his son, Dominick. A replay showed that Joe’s shoulder was up during the pin.
4. Steel Cage Match: Shane McMahon defeated The Miz. Miz tried to prevent McMahon from escaping the cage, but McMahon slipped out of his shirt and fell to the ground to win the match.
– Mick Foley will appear on Raw to announce a new championship title.
– Braun Strowman stomped around backstage looking for Sami Zayn. Later, officials found Zayn hanging up upside down by his feet. Zayn is out of the Money in the Bank ladder match, and Strowman was made to leave the building.
5. Cruiserweight Championship Match: Tony Nese (c) defeated Ariya Daivari. Nese hit the Running Kneese on Daivari to win the match and retain the championship.
6. Raw Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) defeated Lacey Evans. Evans had guns that shot Lacey Evans dollars at the crowd during her entrance. Lynch won the match by submission with the Disarmer. Charlotte Flair then made her entrance and demanded the Smackdown Women’s Championship match start right now.
7. Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte Flair defeated Becky Lynch (c). Lacey Evans interfered, hitting Lynch with the Women’s Right. Flair capitalized and hit a big boot to win the match and the Smackdown Women’s Championship. After the match, Lynch attacked Evans, leading to Evans and Flair attacking her 2-on-1. Bayley made the save, taking out Lynch. Flair tried to hit Bayley with a spear, but Bayley dodged and Flair hit the turnbuckles. Bayley then decided to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase.
8. Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair (c). Bayley hit a top rope elbow drop to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
9. Roman Reigns defeated Elias. Before the match, Elias attacked Reigns with a guitar. Elias then performed with an electric guitar, because his acoustic was broken. Reigns attacked and then immediately speared and pinned Elias to win the match.
10. Universal Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) defeated AJ Styles. Rollins countered the Phenomenal Forearm with a ripcord knee, then hit a basement superkick and a Stomp to win the match. After the match, the two men shook hands.
– Lars Sullivan beat up the Lucha House Party, because reasons.
11. WWE Championship Match: Kofi Kingston (c) defeated Kevin Owens. Kingston countered a top rope senton by getting his knees up, then hit Trouble in Paradise to win the match.
12. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Brock Lesnar defeated Andrade, Ricochet, Randy Orton, Finn Bálor, Baron Corbin, Ali, and Drew McIntyre. Ali looked to have the match won when, of all people, Brock Lesnar returned, knocked him off the ladder, and won the match. Brock Lesnar is now Mr. Money in the Bank.
