Listen To Me On This Week’s ‘Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend’

I’ve been a fan of Alison Rosen ever since Adam Carolla started auditions for a new news girl, so it was pretty cool that I got to be on her podcast this week. I’m not usually a nervous person, but have you ever had to show up to someone’s home that you’re a fan of but you’ve never met before? It was… weird. But also very cool. Weird-cool. Alison and the whole gang (from left: Jeff Fox, Me, Jenna Kim Jones, Allan Moss, Alison, her husband Daniel Quantz, and Dustin Goot) were very nice, and I got to play with Wendy the fat dog.

I came on as this week’s show (The Thursday Show!) as the “special guest,” which meant I sat off to the side for the first part and came in about halfway through. Let’s be honest, it’s not the first time I’ve been called special and had to sit in a corner. Anyway, I did my best not to sound sweaty and nervous, as we discussed the MTV Movie Awards and why I find shaved chests on actors distracting, or sound too sad when we brought up my dog. I also taught Alison the correct pronunciation of “Visalia” (vigh-SALE-ya). My favorite moment to take out of context was Alison saying “He could be Ryan Gosling if you’re kind of squinting,” which will now be my epitaph, memoir title, and sweatpants logo. Long story short, fun was had.
