It’s an axiom that rich people do not frivolously spend their money, but rather hang onto it. They drive old cars, they use anything they buy until it breaks and can’t be fixed, they live in a small house. And apparently, in the case of criminals, if they want an iPad, they steal one instead of just buying it.
Even if they have $35 million in meth on the premises.
Police in Palo Alto, CA, used the popular “Find My iPad” application to track down a stolen computer. They didn’t have a search warrant, so they knocked on the door, asked to come in…and were let in. The cops then found the meth, arrested three people in the apartment, and called the DEA.
We know what you’re thinking: we don’t know whether they found the iPad. We’ll keep you posted.
