The race for the White House continues to heat up and as primary season begins to wind down, the would-be candidates have started to talk about what their possible administrations will look like. Hillary Clinton would have an interesting advantage heading into the White House, with former President and husband Bill Clinton at her side as the “First Man.” What exactly would his role be? Hillary already has something in mind for the former president.

ABC reports that Clinton has the perfect role prepared for her husband, which would be revitalizing the country’s economy. The role does seem tailor-made for Mr. Clinton, who made major strides with the economy in the late ’90s under his watch, although the world tends to remember him more for his salacious affairs than finance reforms.

“My husband, who I’m going to put in charge of revitalizing the economy, cause you know he knows how to do it,” Clinton told the crowd at an outdoor organizing rally. “And especially in places like coal country and inner cities and other parts of our country that have really been left out.”

President Clinton’s work with the economy being largely forgotten or being viewed in revisionist fashion as a formality mirrors the struggles that current President Barack Obama faces with his work toward lowering the unemployment rate. Interestingly enough, Hillary seems to be among those downplaying Obama’s contributions. Utilizing the former president in this fashion seems logical and like the best use for his skills, all while bolstering Hillary’s appeal heading out of the primaries and into the general election.
