Drake’s Scary Hours EP may have gotten into a bit of hot water over its possibly derivative artwork, but aside from that slight blemish, the experience has been a beyond positive one for the rapper. It started by breaking all sorts of streaming records: “God’s Plan” was streamed over 4.3 million times on Spotify in 24 hours, and over 14 million times in its first day on Apple Music.
Now, this streaming success has officially translated into the inevitable: “God’s Plan” has reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, knocking Camila Cabello and Young Thug’s “Havana” out of No. 1 after it spent only a week in that position. This makes “God’s Plan” Drake’s fourth No. 1 song (and his second as the primary artist), following in the footsteps of Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” and “Work,” as well as his own “One Dance.”
"God's Plan" is Drake's fourth #1 single on the Hot 100 (second as a lead artist).

Drake’s killing it on the charts, but he was absent at the Grammys last night. It’s important to note, however, that this is by his own accord, as he opted to not even submit More Life for consideration. With the Grammys’ ratings down significantly from last year’s broadcast, maybe it really is true that the Grammys need Drake so much more than he needs them. Whatever the case, check out the full list of last night’s winners here.
