PARTYNEXTDOOR may have just released his latest album P3, but that doesn’t mean he’s completely emptied his vault. One of OVO’s most recent go-to producers Murda Beatz dropped “Can’t Let The Summer Pass” out the blue, and the track is so fire it’s a wonder it didn’t end up on the album.
There are slight elements of the island-infused sound OVO has seemed to focus on for 2016, but for the most part the track reverts back to the sparse, sultry sound that fans wanted to see Party utilize on P3. Produced by Murda, but with co-production credits for Maneesh and Frank Dukes, PND uses their backdrop to serenade his “Mississauga ting” from the summer.
