Sometimes it is hard to pinpoint when a festival has a breakthrough, but not so with Rolling Loud Festival. Last year, it went from a respectable Miami hip-hop festival to one of the best rap lineups ever curated in just its third year, topped by a headlining appearance from Kendrick Lamar that followed closely after his legendary Coachella set. So, it was fair to wonder how the event would top it for 2018, especially after last year involved some drama with the locals that threatened the festival’s very existence.
But worry not Miami hip-hop fans, Rolling Loud is indeed back and their lineup is stacked. Set to take place at a new location at Miami Gardens’ Hard Rock Stadium on May 11th-13th, this year’s edition boasts a who’s who of rap’s elite artists, including headliners J. Cole, Future, and Travis Scott. Further down are artists who might as well be headliners: Migos, Cardi B, N.E.R.D., and Lil Wayne. Rounding out the big names are Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, The Diplomats, Gucci Mane, Kevin Gates, Lil Yachty, Rick Ross, and 21 Savage.
Even as you get further down the lineup, things are impressive, with artists like Lil Skies, Princess Nokia, Dreezy, Lil Pump, Smino, Action Bronson, Metro Boomin, Lil Xan, Big KRIT, ASAP Ferg, Juvenile, and Jaden Smith.
Tickets go on sale Friday, February 2nd and the event has payment plan options to help people who are tight on funds. They can be purchased here.
