The L-O-X are back on a record again for 2016 with their new album Filthy America… It’s Beautiful. Oddly enough, it’s their first complete studio album together in 16 years, even though they have maintained a presence on each others’ solo projects throughout all of those years. To mark the occasion, they’ve also released a new video for the single “What Else You Need To Know.”

The Yonkers trio returning is a welcome sight in rap’s current climate where older groups are coming back with renewed energy. In the late ’90s, they, along with DMX, helped bring back gritty lyricism to New York’s rap scene. After years away, they’re back with a new partnership between their D-Block Records imprint and Roc Nation to drop their latest music. In fact, the new song and video answers just about every question about the status of their past beefs, old rumors and the like. For the record, they didn’t like “All About the Benjamins,” they’re good with Puff, Styles almost got his clock cleaned by Trick Trick. Again, all the speculation is covered in one tune.

The 12-song release features the likes of Gucci Mane, Mobb Deep, Fetty Wap, and D-Block’s Dyce Payne plus production DJ Premier, Pete Rock and Dame Grease. Stream Filthy America… It’s Beautiful below via Apple Music or Spotify, whichever subscription fits your needs.
