‘House of Cards’ Corey Stoll on working with Michael Douglas in Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’

Despite some well-known behind-the-scenes trouble, 2015's “Ant-Man” is shaping up to be one of Marvel's most anticipated films, boasting a stellar cast including Paul Rudd in the title role, “The Hobbit's” Evangeline Lilly and Oscar-winning legend Michael Douglas as the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym.

It also stars Corey Stoll as Darren Cross, Pym's former protege who uses the Ant-Man technology to create his own super-powered suit and emerge as the Yellowjacket.

HitFix caught up with Stoll (“House of Cards”) at Comic Con, where he sang the praises of Douglas, saying, “He's a living legend and to be able to work with him is really awesome.”

Stoll also acknowledges that, after the departure of director/co-writer Edgar Wright, the script is still being tweaked by new writer Adam McKay (“Anchorman”) and replacement director Peyton Reed (“Yes Man”). .

Last but not least, Stoll faces the age-old question, “What would you rather fight — ants or bees?” Watch the interview at the top of the page to to hear his answer.

Stoll can currently be seen in the new FX series “The Strain,” from executive producer Guillermo del Toro.

“Ant-Man” is scheduled to open July 17, 2015.
