If you didn’t see the Scooby Doo: WrestleMania Mystery movie that came out a couple of years ago, you’re doing yourself a disservice. The movie is a staple of family road trips … and sometimes I even let the kids watch. For real, the movie was such an incredible mix of absurd cartoon comedy and inside-baseball references to wrestling that it’s worth repeat viewings. They even job out The Miz in the first five minutes! What’s not to love?
Now there’s a sequel and they’re changing things up a bit. The main protagonist appears to be The Undertaker (who is seemingly voiced by someone else), and instead of wrestling, the gang is competing in some sort of derby. It seems like a bit of a throwback to the criminally underrated Wacky Races series that came out way back in the day.
In the trailer we do see a few more things to be excited about: Lana and Rusev will be present and I really hope Rusev does his own voice. We get a fight in catering and Sheamus is there … maybe someone will shoot beat up Sheamus in the cartoon just like in real life. As for the villain? My early bet is Kane, but who really knows?! I CAN’T WAIT.
