Super Bowl Media Day is the weirdest thing in all of football. It’s an event where pointed, thoughtful questions by the media often go unnoticed because people will do silly things that everyone remembers. Take, for instance, last year, when someone convinced Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski that he should read a passage from the erotic novel A Gronking to Remember.
One year later and we still have our fair share of Media Day silliness. The MVP thus far has been the Panthers’ breakout star cornerback, Josh Norman. During his session on Monday night, Norman decided to throw on a luchador mask and answer some questions. It seems like it was a lot of fun, mostly because there aren’t many scenarios in which wearing a luchador mask wouldn’t rule.

According to Rich Eisen of NFL Network, Norman didn’t just throw the mask on and take it off immediately as some kind of a joke, he put the mask on his head and decided to wear it around for a while. Here’s a closer look at the mask, which is silver with blue around the eyes and a Panthers logo on the side.

Norman probably has a while before his career in the NFL wraps up – he’s only 28 and just had the best season of his career – but once he’s done with football, maybe he can throw the mask back on and head to Lucha Underground or something.
