Pretty much all wrestling fans can agree that it’s great to finally have Kurt Angle back in WWE. During his short time as Raw’s new general manager, he’s done a fantastic job of reminding us all why we fell in love with the guy in the first place. He still has the best comedic timing in all of wrestling, and can still sweat all the way through a suit with the best of them.
Believe it or not, of all the DVD sets that WWE has released over the years, they’ve never done a Kurt Angle set before. Sure, Angle had a VHS tape: It’s True! It’s True! But that thing was made back when Angle still had hair. In the then-WWF. So … that barely even counts. But that’s all changing, as WWE will release a DVD set on August 1 entitled Kurt Angle: The Essential Collection.
Wrestling DVD Network has brought us the first trailer for the DVD set, as well as the official synopsis. (You probably already knew the synopsis; it’s about the career of Kurt Angle. But here it is, anyway, because we’re all about completism here, and we’re also about keeping YOU informed. This is the information superhighway, after all!)
It’s true! It’s true! Kurt Angle has had some of the most epic matchups in WWE history. Now for the first time ever, you can watch them all with Kurt Angle: The Essential Collection. Relive all of his rivalries with Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and more in this complete collection.
As always, although we can watch a lot of Angle’s stuff on the WWE Network any time we want, the ease of the DVD set still holds a definite allure. Convenience, you’ve done it again.
