The Miz Traded His WWE Intercontinental Championship For A Super Bowl Ring On The ESPYs Red Carpet

For not playing competitive sports, WWE superstars had quite a night at last night’s ESPYs, no? From John Cena killing it as the host of the annual awards show to the Big Show maybe-possibly-finally getting his WrestleMania dream match against Shaq to the New Day being the kings of WWE’s Snapchat throughout, the lines between sports and sports entertainment were happily blurred all evening long.

Keeping the cross-pollination going, The Miz and Maryse broadcast their walk down the ESPYs red carpet for the world to see. Not only does Maryse at one point push past the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Iman Shumpert, who had stopped to greet someone on the red carpet, but The Miz himself then gets stopped by Ryan Harris of current Super Bowl champions, the Denver Broncos.
Harris, who recently signed a two-year, $3.9 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, approaches the heir to the Mr. Hero fortune like he’s Santa Claus (well, Miz was wearing a red suit…) and excitedly offers to trade his Super Bowl ring for Miz’s Intercontinental Championship, a deal that should be a no-brainer to everyone watching at home. Check it out below (jump to the nine-minute mark):
The whole Facebook Live video is worth a watch, if only to see a bunch of celebrities wandering aimlessly down a red carpet in sweltering heat. Plus, if you stick around long enough, you’ll get to find out what Miz and Maryse’s go-to karaoke duet is. (Hint: It involves Top Gun.)
