When WWE Superstar Paige received her second Wellness Policy suspension on Monday, she immediately took to Twitter and voiced her displeasure, claiming that there were double standards in the company’s testing policies and that she had provided a legitimate prescription and doctor’s note for the banned substance she tested positive for, to no avail. A short time later, her parents and the former Alberto Del Rio publicly called the situation basically bollocks, and Paige’s brothers also chimed in to accuse WWE of being unfair.
Now WWE is firing back, because you can’t really expect that company to take those kind of extremely public shots and not respond. In a statement to the New York Post, WWE made their position on the matter very clear.
“Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug,” WWE’s statement to The Post read. “In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury.”
This almost certainly won’t be the last we hear about the situation (particularly from the Bevis camp, one assumes), but for now that is WWE’s definitive word on the matter.
Let’s, uh … let’s try to focus on happier matters, shall we? I mean, look how happy these two are:

We should be more like those happy campers! Chin up, everyone! Tomorrow is another day!
