For most guys, there’s a typical protocol for how to handle your significant other doing something worthy of a toast. To help his undercover girlfriend Rihanna celebrate the Video Vanguard Award she’ll be receiving at the upcoming VMAs this Sunday, Drizzy bought a frikkin’ billboard in Los Angeles and dedicated a simple but touching message to the “Diamonds” singer.
“Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and everyone at OVO.”
Depending on your gender, this is either a genius move or a total dick move. As you can see from the reaction of Black-ish actress Yara Shahidi, ladies love seeing the 6 God go the extra mile. On the other hand, I’m trying to make sure my wife doesn’t see this and expect the bar to be raised. She does amazing things all the time. But, do you know how much billboards cost? That could end badly.
However, the move seemed to have worked, as Rihanna also posted about the image and basically admitted for the first time that they were an item. With the simple caption, “When he extra ❤?!!!,” these two may have found love in a hopeless place.
