John Cena took some time off from granting wishes and talking about prosthetic dicks (though not at the same time, thank goodness). Via Entertainment Weekly:
…it’s not his time in front of the camera or in the ring that the wrestler shared for EW’s Greatest Story Ever Told video series. Instead, Cena told a tale that was much more personal, which had him fighting back tears and offering up a special ‘I love you’ message to his mother, Carol.
While Cena and his brothers may have been absolute terrors growing up – starting fires, fighting, swearing – his mother always stuck by her boys. It would take years to truly show her just how much her sacrifices meant to him, but eventually, Cena was able to honor her with a very special present for her 65th birthday.
Buying his mom a house and completely changing her life is a much better way of making his mom proud than wearing a penis sock in front of a bunch of film crew people. The idea of being “buy your mom a house and make sure she never has to worry about anything ever again” is the kind of rich most of us aspire to be, so good on him for living the dream. The weird, incredibly convoluted dream.
