America’s dog owners no longer have to live in fear that their furry companion’s fashion sh*t isn’t b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Gwen Stefani is here to style your dog and bring your troubled soul some peace.
Launched yesterday, Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers line for pets offers up “a design-driven assortment of dog products including toys, fashion accessories and apparel” for a limited time only. Judging by the inclusion of a fedora, the No Doubt frontwoman’s fashion rollout also offers the option of humiliating your pet if you so choose. Here’s a useful chunk of Petco’s big splashy description trumpeting the Harajuku Lovers dog line:
The Harajuku Lovers pet collection was designed by Stefani, and ranges in price from $5 to $20. The line features more than 30 trend forward products such as the cozy Union Jack Sweater, colorful Doughnut Toy, fashionable black and white Checkers sock and a snazzy Fedora Hat. From high-style apparel to emoji-inspired toys, there is something to fit every dog’s best look.
Have you ever watched a dog play with something that isn’t an emoji-inspired toy? It’s so sad. Gwen bills her approach to canine fashion as “playful, modern and super kawaii.” It’s probably also fair to say the looks are partially marinated in ska. Well, as much as dog fashion will allow, anyway.
Alright, enough of the Gwen designing details chatter. BRING ON THE DOG MODELS!
And how about a tidy lil’ promo video as well?
